COVID-19: Why has Africa been “Spared”?

After more than one year of the COVID-19 pandemic, disaster predicted in Africa by experts has not occurred. The present review aimed to discuss factors which may have played an important role this low incidence. analysis data provided WHO database and ECDC (European Center for Disease Prevention Control) was made. Using explicit reasoning existing data, most significant were listed discussed. We found that had lowest percentage cases per population (0.33%) various such as rapid reactions, effective preventive measures, demographics, impact previous epidemics, genetic immunity incidence pandemic Africa. It appears is globally less affected. Most discussed role, but hypothesis potential undercount cases, studied date, should be investigated.
